Community Radio Manual Advertising/Traffic Cue Sheet Preparation

A lot of community radio stations spend a lot of time live to air and because of this advertising scheduled into automation does not always get played at the right times. This simple software system designed from scratch in Australia for an Australian Community Radio Station allows you to schedule advertising spots and then have them slotted into the rotation automatically and evenly for you according to pre-determined rules. You can then easily edit the selected schedule. It also allows for extensive auditing of the type and quantity of advertising being played in every hour and generates APRA reports of any music used. Called a “god send” by one of its earliest purchasers we are very pleased to be able to now offer it for free to local community stations.

Step 1: Read The Manual..again...Read The Manual!

Step 2. Install The System

Step 3. Install  Updates: Service Pack 1

Tricky Quizzes Database

A lot of use to a lot of jocks for a long time now available for free because we’d like the updates to become a community project by which everyone can benefit.  If you are computer savy (and have a lot of time on your hands) you might like to do some updates on the two databases and email them back in (and yes we will be checking the contents in case some spammer tries it on). If anyone shows any interest we will update the installer package with the extra quizzes and info for everyone.

To add a piece of trivia just open the “index.dll” file in the “c:\program files\robot tricky quizzes” folder in notepad and add each piece of trivia on its own new line.

To add a quiz open the “search.dll” file similarly and add question then answer each on their own line (you’ll see how it works from what's there already). (yes we know there “.dll” files..we were being sneaky..)
