Spots are added into the schedule singularly. When adding the spot into the schedule the software counts through 4 weeks, 7 days, 24 hours and 4 quarters; checking at each step that the spot can be added to the relevant area.

During this counting it applies various rules:

Placing is an ascending scale of the spots significance within a quarter. This lets you schedule certain spots to be played before others. A placing of "1" means that the spot will be closest to the start of the quarter, a placing of 15 means that the spot will be closest to the end of the quarter. This does not mean that you are limited to 15 spots per quarter hour: you can add multiple spots with the same priority setting, however in this case they are added into the schedule on a "first-come-first-served" basis, top to bottom.

Available to Days
A ticked box indicates that the spot can be scheduled on this day. Un-Tick the box for any days you DON'T want the spot played.

Available to Weeks
A ticked box indicates that the spot can be scheduled in this week. Un-Tick the box for any weeks you DON'T want the spot played.

Available to Day Parts A ticked box indicates that the spot can be scheduled within this hour. Un-Tick the box for any hours you DON'T want the spot played.

There are also other settings which can be used to generally override the setting above, if you don't wish to use them you leave them set at '0':

Limit Per Day You can decide that based on the rules above, regardless, you don't want the spot played more than X times in any single 24 hour period. This means the spot will be scheduled once into the first X hours then no more until the count reaches the next day. Using this limit the spots will appear in the first part of the day (rather than skipping hours throughout) as they are applied on a "first-come-first-served basis"

Limit Per Week You can decide that based on the rules above, regardless, you don't want the spot played more than X times in any single 7 day period. This means the spot will be scheduled once into the first X days (throughout 24 hours) then no more until the count reaches the next week. Using this limit the spots will appear in the first part of the week (rather than skipping days or hours throughout) as they are applied on a "first-come-first-served basis"

Limit Per Campaign A campaign is the 4 weeks available to you to schedule. You can decide that based on the rules above, regardless, you don't want the spot played more than X times in any single 4 week period. This means the spot will be scheduled once into the first X weeks (throughout 24 hours and 7 days) then no more. Using this limit the spots will appear in the first weeks of the month (rather than skipping days, weeks or hours throughout) as they are applied on a "first-come-first-served basis"

When you have completed filling in the fields click the
Add New button to add the spot.

Spot Addition is extremely configurable which means that you can create separate spots (of the same audio) and use different rules and placing's to put catalogue precisely wherever it is required throughout the month. Spot addition becomes more complicated depending upon the number of spots you have and the requirements of
